Neurology is a branch of medicine dealing with disorders of the nervous system. The nervous system is divided into two main parts:
- Central Nervous System (CNS): brain and spinal cord
- Peripheral Nervous System (PNS): nerves that connect the CNS to every other part of the body
A neurologist specialises in the diagnosis and management of conductions affecting the nervous system.
Our team provide outpatient clinics for patients with general neurological symptoms, and specialist clinics for epilepsy, Parkinson’s disease, neuromuscular disorders and Multiple Sclerosis.
We also provide advice and support for patients with neurological problems admitted to Queen Alexandra Hospital.
