From Monday 18 November 2024, patients and visitors to the Queen Alexandra Hospital site will have the option to pay for parking using RingGo on their phone or choose to continue paying using one of our machines located in the car parks.

Patients and visitors can use RingGo by downloading the app onto their smartphone or by calling 020 3046 0010. The automated phone line will take you through the same steps as an app user. Pay machines for visitors who would prefer to pay by cash or card in-person will remain in place.

There will be no changes to the parking charges, but by providing an alternative way of paying, patients and visitors will have greater flexibility when it comes to amending their length of stay.

There are also no changes to the concession rate, which will continue to be available to eligible individuals through the usual route. These include:

  • patients undergoing care such as radiotherapy, chemotherapy, and dialysis at least three times a month for a minimum of three months
  • a parent accompanying a child on admission for overnight stay or long-term basis
  • a close relative/partner who is helping with ongoing care such as washing and feeding.

These concession passes are issued by the senior person in charge of the department/ward and need to be validated. Please speak to the ward team if you aren't sure whether you are eligible.
